Tis' the season...

I know Christmas is a day behind us, but tis' the season 25th or not. So merry Christmas to all those who visit or actually read this blog, we love and appreciate your support. May the blessings of God be your portion and your  days be filled with peace joy and most importantly, love.

I hope y'all got all you wanted and then some...well if you didn't, there's always next year...or you can just put in extra time at work and get it your self...*shrugs*. Since we are on the subject of gifts and Christmas is not just about receiving, we can also use this opportunity to do something good and worthwhile in the world, so why not donate that extra change you saved from that huge sale or the money you got as a gift or whatever to a legit charity to help those in need. The redcross, salvation army, oxfam  and St Jude, are just a few organizations in which your contribution does help and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

The APD skirt

Okay, i know this is another to shop for this look, but this one is especially special to me, because i made it. Yes i made it - I designed, cut and sewed it. and i'm quite proud of its outcome. It runs in a medium/large size (i am a small/Xs), so it doesn't fit me (meaning the picture doesn't do it much justice, since i modeled it..and i'm not a good model at all).

Sarah Baartman

So who is Sarah Baartman, you might ask.

Well, i found her story pretty interesting...sad, but interesting. She was famously called " the Hottentot Venus" by the western world (specifically Europeans). Originally from South Africa, she moved to Europe only to be a part of a "freak" show, due to her physical difference. 

Anyhoo, i believe this video does a better deal in explaining her story.
